The Lit Exhibit is an immersive writing gallery showcasing prose, poetry and experimental or interactive work by emerging writers. The gallery aims to uniquely spotlight upcoming and local writers of marginalized backgrounds by subverting the way readers take in their stories.
Submissions for the second curated run of the show are being accepted in three distinct categories:
- traditional text (prose / poetry) - imaged based text- proposal installations
2018 Applicants are being invited to reflect on the theme of Bridges. Consider what might be everyday examples of figurative bridges encountered in people, places, language, etc. As always, this theme is widely open to interpretation and can be taken as literally or as figuratively as applicants wish.
* The Lit Exhibit is hosted and curated by writer Lana C. Marilyn.
